At Relativity Fest in London, I spoke to Wendy King of FTI Consulting’s Technology segment about FTI’s use of RelativityOne.
FTI is a global consultancy, offering Relativity across four continents. Most of its matters span multiple jurisdictions, Wendy King said, and FTI needed something scalable so they could focus on what they needed to do without worrying about limits on infrastructure.
Clients are taking to RelativityOne, she said, and there has been significantly greater use of it recently. FTI has its own instance of Relativity as well, and clients can use either that or RelativityOne.
Criminal matters do not respect national boundaries, and regulatory engagements cross borders. For many organisations, their fines come from regulators outside their own countries, so it was necessary to keep up with regulations in other countries.
Furthermore, privacy and data protection regulations cut across the requirements of regulators, imposing limits on what organisations can collect, keep, and use. The cloud-based nature of RelativityOne makes it practical to manage this potential conflict.More from FTI Technology
